On Tuesday morning there are photo-opportunities with leading politicians. These are taken by professional photographers, rather than the snaps in my camera taken by whoever was passing at the time! Of course there is a huge queue. Must be really dull for the ministers. I add Reid, Blunkett and, most pleasingly, Brown to my portfolio. Blunkett is literally: in, smile and out. I tell Brown that I was at the Trade Justice Movement speech - "It's getting big" he agrees. Brown also impresses because he has brought his secretary along to take away any Treasury issues.
I then visit the NSPCC stand where there is a promise of a photo with Beth Cordingley, an actress in "The Bill". This would have made a good story for the local papers. Unfortunately, she is ill and I have my pic taken with the chief exec.
