Just been thinking about Ken with Ipswich being so much in the news this week. Ken was my personal tutor when I was at teacher training college in Bishops Stortford in 1973. Lovely man, very inspiring. We shared a love of modern history and poetry.
The old teacher training colleges have now faded into history but I'm sure still loved and missed by those who had the pleasure of attending them.
jean Hall -sherry, Betty Parkinson - labradors, Ken Gough - labradors licking, Dr Raper!, Eric Rankin, Eric Smith et al. Happy days.
PS I worked for the PO after leaving college and used to deliver mail to Dan (sweet FA) Jones in Burnley. I told him you'd been my tutor.'Whoosh'replied Jones 'I,ll tap him up for a drink for you' - never heard a thing - still thirsty.
Fond regards,
